there is no war,  but there are Guns...

A mysterious Earthling girl enters an intergalactic tournament where aliens from six different worlds compete in a game that measures the power of their life force.

Ellen Barrow is a Gun, and this is the first test of her amazing ability to harness the essence of her very being, a tournament in a city of aliens, some fierce, some flirtatious, all eccentric, and all vying for the same prize of enormous fame and great honor, in the circle, at the tables, in a contest with one simple way to win - just don’t let go.

Far in the peaceful future, every child of every species on every planet is tested at five years old to determine the strength of their life force. In every million tested, only one will be found to have the rarest gift, an inner fire so strong it can be measured on a dial, honed and trained and amplified with years of coaching at an institution called the Gunnery, in the hope that they will emerge with the ability to focus that energy so precisely they can inflict agony upon eachother, turn a clear lucite table into a torture device, and cause their opponents to let go.

Ellen Barrow is one in a million, and ready for battle.

           Hands on tables, please.

This is Tale of a Gun.
